Company President and founder Jim Dalton began in construction in 1979 as a manufacturer’s representative for PVC underground pipe, valve and fittings. He was professionally trained by materials manufacturers to do specification work with Architects and Municipality’s Engineers. An understanding of what is important to Contractors and Distributors in who is chosen as their supplier of choice was gained early on in Jim’s career. In 1992 Jim became Vice-President of The Bonitz Company of Carolina/TN whose scope of work included Acoustical, Membrane Roofing and Light-weight concrete roof decks. This arena provided for an in depth understanding of the entire construction process from estimating, project management and the financial aspects of maintaining the business’s profitability. In 1995 Jim discovered the Sun Tunnel Skylight and became their Southeastern Distributor. The long-term business relationships that began many years ago have translated into building our reputation as the roofing contractor of choice in the most demanding environments including the restoration of historic buildings and in the new construction of monumental residences. We use only Ludowici Clay Tile and have been designated a Ludowici “Crown Roofer” allowing JDC Roofing to offer long term water tightness warranties as well as materials warranties provided by Ludowici. We only use Copper for flashings and standing seam roofing and have a full knowledge of applicable details insuring the highest quality and customer satisfaction.
