Independent (Manufacturer) Sales Representative – Residential Markets

Posted on: July 22, 2018 Ludowici, a manufacturer of architectural terra cotta building products based in New Lexington, Ohio, is in search for independent (manufacturer) sales representatives or firms that meet the following:

Objective

To hire a professional independent (manufacturer) sales representative or firm to promote, develop, sell and manage the sales and business development of Ludowici products, with support from corporate office personnel, on a territory basis for the high-end residential market segment.

Various locations open throughout the country (please inquire)

Primary Responsibilities

  • Generate/grow sales of Ludowici and Terreal terra cotta building products within the defined territory to the new construction residential market through regular contact and promotions with the architectural community, interior designers, installation contractors and custom home builders (via regular CEU lunch presentations, sales calls and trade show/seminar exhibitions) and other avenues
  • Develop residential architectural specifications based/designed around Ludowici and Terreal terra cotta building products and other key complimentary products/accessories from partner vendors/suppliers
  • See all residential projects through entire budget, design, bid and construction phases
  • Locate and develop relationship/partnership with installation contractors/roofers capable of competitively installing Ludowici and Terreal products
  • Assist Trade Good Department and Sales Team to successfully sell Trade Goods (accessories) on all commercial terra cotta orders
  • Must accurately report residential sales pipeline and assist in development of monthly sales forecasts/budgets in conjunction with National Market Manager – Residential
  • Learn all product price structures for both Ludowici and Terreal in order to assist in quickly and accurately providing material budgets
  • Be a strong team player to all members of the Terreal, Terreal North America and Ludowici teams

Experience Requirements

  • Must have ability to develop plan to meet series of goals related to:  increasing sales, presentations, sample requests, specifications, quotes and contractor partners
  • Ability to demonstrate strong relationships and connections (currently in place) with substantial network of high-end residential architectural firms, interior designers, installation contractors and custom home builders – this is a must
  • Prefer 5-7 plus years of successful architectural product sales and promotion
  • Successful track record of increasing sales and business development – preferably in specification driven construction building materials within the residential market segment
  • Building envelop design experience (roofing experience and/or wall construction preferred)
  • Must be self-motivated, self-sufficient and goal oriented
  • Must have ability to create and deliver effective product presentations to individuals and groups
  • Experience working for or representing a high end brand is a plus
