  1. These container logistics costs are included in the field tile prices shown below. Please note a Partial Container Charge “PCC” fee will need to be added for all partial containers (see PCC definition and examples below for more detail).
  2. The field tile prices shown include European land transport and ocean logistics.
  3. The field tile prices shown do NOT include U.S. port transloading or U.S. port to jobsite local freight/delivery. These services must be added to the quote/proposal as separate line items. Please contact Mike Ade (mike.ade@ludowici.com ) or Shelby Stevenson (Shelby.stevenson@ludowici.com ).
  4. If customer elects to receive ocean shipping containers at the tile final shipping destination, they must be prepared to properly receive the containers. Please review and provide customer the detailed information on receiving materials via container outlined on this document: LINK TO DROPBOX DOC.
  5. The maximum shipping weight of a 20’ container, shown above as 38,008 lbs., is due to U.S. highway limits for transporting a 20’ container over U.S. roads. The actual container and ocean vessel can carry more weight than what is allowed on U.S. roadways. The max weight for the sea shipment is typically much higher and, if we transload the material to a Flat Bed for delivery, the max weight could be as high as 48,000 lbs. In order to simplify for quick/standard pricing, we need to keep to the maximum of 38,008 lbs. per 20’ container. However, please keep in mind for very large projects we should have some leeway and other options.
  6. The final number of containers needed for the project is a function of both field tile quantities needed and the necessary accessories added. The required accessories needed must be verified that they can fit in the container space quoted.

SPECIAL CHARGES
*** IMPORTANT ***

Terreal field tiles will be only be shipped in full pallets - no exceptions. Quotes/Orders should be based on full pallet quantities/increments.

PARTIAL CONTAINER CHARGE (PCC)

When a partial container is shipped, meaning less than 25 pallets, a Partial Container Charge (PCC) must be added to the quote/order to account for the empty space in the container. The (PCC) is a simple calculation where you take the % of the open container multiplied by the container shipping/logistics rate. Two examples are provided below. For additional assistance on PCC fees and calculation assistance, please contact Mike Ade (mike.ade@ludowici.com) or Shelby Stevenson (shelby.stevenson@ludowici.com).

EXAMPLE #1:

Quote/Shipment is for 33.39 Squares (or 21 full pallets, less than 1 container).

Maximum squares on a container = 41.14 Squares (see above)
% of container that is open = (41.14 - 33.39) / 41.14 = 18.8%

PCC = % of container that is open × container shipping/logistic fee
18.8% × $7,000 (Miami) = $1,316   ← this must be added to the quote/order.

EXAMPLE #2:

Quote/Shipment is for 54.06 Squares
(or 34 full pallets, 1 full container and a partial container).

Maximum squares on a container = 41.14 Squares

Partial Container Quantity: 54.06 Squares - 41.14 Squares = 12.92 Squares
% of container that is open = (41.14 - 12.92) / 41.14 = 68.59%

PCC = % of container that is open × container shipping/logistic fee
68.59% × $7,000 (Miami) = $4,801.30   ← this must be added to the quote/order.
