Founded in 1888 and still operating in the same plant in New Lexington Ohio, Ludowici has a strong tradition of excellence. When I came to Ludowici in January, I was handed a challenge. A monumental task — refresh the Ludowici brand while honoring the rich heritage of craftsmanship and quality. With the amazing team at Minds On Marketing, we began the process of re-discovering who we are, what we do and why we do it. The first step? The logo. The crown logo had been synonymous with Ludowici for decades. It was a strong symbol of Ludowici’s leadership in the architectural terra cotta marketplace. We wanted to honor that symbol, but update it — bring it to its core elements. The pewter, earthy yet elegant, diamonds represent the strength, beauty and durability of Ludowici terra cotta. The diamonds create a crown arching over a rich blue Ludowici. Gone are the words “Roof Tile” as Ludowici is so much more. We are terra cotta roof tile, wall tile, floor tile, solar shades, acoustical panels and leaders in architectural terra cotta solutions. It’s a privilege to lead the way with the new Ludowici brand.
